England won by 385 runs against West Indies in the Second Test

England won the Test Series after beating West Indies in the second Test. England showed an incredible Batting performance in both innings which made a huge difference. Although, West Indies batted very well in the first innings. But, they were totally collapsed in the second innings. England gave a huge target of 385 runs to West Indies in order to level the series. The visitors got collapsed from 61-0 to 143-10. West Indies have 41 runs lead in the first innings. West Indies were on a driving seat after the first innings. But the hosts came back and showed incredible fightback with the bat. West Indies lost yet another test series in England. Since 2000, West Indies have lost eight consecutive test series here at England. 

England' Batting: First Innings 

England started brilliantly in the first innings. Although, they lost Zak Crawley earlier, but they didn't stopped to play fearless cricket. They smashed a world record straight away. England scored the fastest team fifty in Test cricket. They reached 50 runs mark in just 4.2 overs. Ben Duckett scored the joint third fastest fifty for England in Test Cricket. He achieved this milestone in just 32 balls. He gave a flying start to England. Olie Pope scored the first hundred of the English Summer. He played superbly of 121 runs knock. He smashed 15 boundaries and one six in his brilliant 121 runs. Captain Ben Stokes played a vital knock of 69 runs. All Rounder Chris Woakes played a wonderful cameo. England scored 416 in the first innings. 

West Indies Batting: First Innings 

Captain Kraig Brathwaite gave a good start to West Indies. He scored 48 runs off 72 balls. West Indies new players were very impression in the first innings. Alick Athanaze played a good innings of 82 runs. Kevam Hodge scored his first Test hundred. He played a wonderful innings of 120 runs. He batted really well against a good England's bowling attack. Wicketkeeper Joshua De Silva also scored a fifty. At the end, Shamar Joseph gave England tough time. He played a 33 runs innings. West Indies managed to cross 450 runs mark. 

England's Batting: Second Innings 

England yet again managed to cross 400 runs for the consecutive innings. Ben Duckett, who scored 71 runs in the first innings, played a wonderful knock of 76 in the second innings as well. 

First innings centurion Olie Pope scored fifty in the second innings. Joe Root and Harry Brook smashed a brilliant centuries. England scored 425 runs in the second innings. 

West Indies Batting: Second Innings 

West Indies have started well. Kraig Brathwaite was once again got out on 40s. They were 61 for zero at one point. But since then, they had a horrible Collapse. Kavem Hodge, who scored a fantastic hundred in the first innings, got out on duck in the second innings. Jason Holder played 37 runs innings. West Indies managed to score only 143 runs.
