India won the Super Over and ended the series with 3-0

The third T20I match between India and Sri Lanka finished with some thrilling moments. Sri Lanka had yet another collapsed. Sri Lanka were truly dominated the india throughout the match.

But, somehow, they managed to lost this match. After losing the last T20I match of the series, Sri Lanka has created an unforgettable record. They are the only team who lost the most T20I matches in the history of this shortest format of the game. Sri Lanka has now lost 105 T20I matches which is most by any team. Bangladesh lost 104 T20I matches while West Indies has lost 101 T20I matches. Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav's era has started with a spectacular clean sweep against Sri Lanka. 

India Batting Performance: 

India dominates the first and second T20I with the bat, but they were failed to gave a big total in the third T20I. India were 7 down for 105 runs, but somehow, Washington Sundar helped india to post 137 on the board. Shubman gill was the top scorer with 39 runs off 37 deliveries. Sanju Samson scored consequences ducks. He got out on the very first in the second T20I and he got out on the 4th ball in the third T20I. India were little bit comfortable because they had already won the T20I series. 

Sri Lanka Batting Performance: 

Considering the given target, Sri Lankan Openers played sensibly and put a half century stand. Kusal Mendis made 43 runs while Pathum Nissanka scored 26 runs. Both the Batsman's scored at almost run a ball. Kusal Parera yet again shines with the bat. He played good innings of 46 runs with the help of 5 boundaries. Till then, Sri Lanka were in a strong position on winning the match. Sri Lanka were two down when the are on 110 runs. But after that, Sri Lanka were completely collapsed. They somehow lost this easy match. Sri Lanka were required 9 runs on the last 12 balls. Rinku Singh bowled the second last over. He bowled brilliantly in that over. Sri Lanka were needed only 6 runs in the last over. Suryakumar Yadav was ready to bowl the last over. He bowled excellent in the last. Sri Lanka had a horrible Collapsed in the five overs. Hence, the match gone to a super over. 

Super Over Story: 

Sri Lanka continued their poor batting Performance in the super over as well. Kusal Mendis and Kusal Parera was sent to open the innings in the super over. Kusal Parera got out on the first ball. Captain Pathum Nissanka dismissed on the first ball as well. Hence, Sri Lanka only managed to scored 2 runs. India were only 3 runs required to win this match. On the other hand, India continued their momentum which they had taken in the last five overs. Suryakumar Yadav smashed a boundary on the first ball and won the match for india.
