James Anderson played his last test match against West Indies, and he received the guard of honour from both sides for his prolific test career. James Anderson took 3 wickets in his final Test innings. His 21 years long career include many memorable moments. He won many matches for England. Due to his legendary career, James Anderson is often considered as the Greatest England's fast bowler who test cricket. His longevity in especially in Test cricket makes him a true legend of the game. 


James Anderson Test Career: 

James Anderson has made his test debut back in 2003 against Zimbabwe at Lord's. Since then, he played 188 test matches for England. He has taken 704 test wickets at an average of 26.45. He has taken 10 wickets haul three times in his test career. He has taken 32 five wickets haul in his test career. 


James Anderson ODI Career: 

James Micheal Anderson played his first ODI match against Australia in 2002. He played a total of 194 ODI matches in which he took 269 wickets. In his whole ODI Career, he managed to took only 2 five wickets haul which came against South Africa and New Zealand. His best ODI figures was against South Africa in which he bowled 10 overs and conceded only 23 runs and took a brilliant fifer. 


James Anderson T20I Career: 

James Anderson's first T20I for England came against Australia in 2007. Since then, he managed to play only 19 T20I matches. He took only 18 wickets in his 19 T20I matches. His best T20I bowling figures came against Netherlands in which he bowled 4 overs and conceded 23. He also took 3 wickets in that match. 


James Anderson's Test Records: 

James Anderson has played test matches for England since 2003. In his 21 years long Test Career, he took a total of 704 wickets. His phenomenal Test figures makes him only the third bowler in the history of Test Cricket who 700+ wickets in the longest format of cricket. Only Muralidaran and Shane Warne has taken more wickets than Anderson.

  • James Anderson is on the 3th list in terms of taking fastest 700 Test Wickets. He is the 4th Bowler who tookt he fastest 600 wickets.
